September 1996, the revenues decreased. The revenues decreased
eighteen percent. The net loss for MEM company was seventy-four
percent. MEM company sold less perfume for men. These perfumes
are named British Sterling and Tinkerbell. This loss caused
higher cost for management information systems. This loss also
caused higher cost for merger expenses. In 1995 MEM Company
had three hundred fifty employees. In December 1996, MEM company
was purchased by Renaissance Cosmetics. Renaissance Cosmetics
paid seven dollars and fifty cents per share for the MEM Company.
